Discover no ordinary classroom
A classroom with a difference, discover two experiences for one excursion at the MCG. Whether your school is looking for a day filled with activities at the MCG, or only has a limited time, we can offer an inclusive excursion experience for all students, of all capabilities.
A visit to the Australian Sports Museum is a self-guided experience full of interaction and exploration. We recommend 90-minutes for your school here, where students can take 60-minutes to explore the museum before spending 30-minutes to play in Game On!
An MCG Tour is led by an MCC volunteer, where students are taken on a 60-minute tour of the stadium.
Free e-learning resources are available for your students to enhance their discovery before or after visiting the Australian Sports Museum.
We offer free admission for 1 supervisor per 10 students for primary year levels and 1 supervisor per 20 students for secondary year levels. Please note, there needs to be 1 teacher with duty of care per 10 students (primary) or 20 students (secondary). The teacher retains duty of care and responsibility of behaviour of students.

Meet An Olympian
Discover an interactive Olympic experience at the Australian Sports Museum and the home of the 1956 Olympics, the MCG.
Schools can book in for the ultimate Meet an Olympian program, which involves a discussion (30 minutes per booking) with an Australian Olympian, Paralympian or Special Olympian about their hardships and successes endured to excel and reach the top of their sport.
This learning experience can support your class’ curriculum requirements. When filling in the booking form, please outline your curriculum needs in the ‘Other Information’ section, and we will do our best to tailor the presentation to your students’ learning outcomes.
Make a booking today to immerse your students in the Australian Olympic journey and enhance your visit with an Olympic themed tour of the MCG.
Indigenous Trail
Explore the Australian Sports Museum through a collection of Indigenous sporting moments. Featured across several of the displays inside the museum are a series of objects and stories centered on Indigenous athletes.
Students and visitors alike are invited to independently explore, learn and reflect on these stories through Thinking Routines. To find the stories, keep an eye out for this fingerprint featured around the museum.
Sustainability Experience
Ever wondered where your rubbish goes after a footy game? Or how the MCG powers the light towers?
Students can now learn about the MCG’s energy, emissions, waste and water usage initiatives as part of our educational Sustainability Experience.
